What a beauty Tongue-in-cheek article.

I think it should be a joint mayoralty with Rodney Hide (girlfriend in tow of course), Andrew Williams and Brian Tamaki. BT can take all of the assets, Rodney spend the cash on verseas trips and Andrew Williams can be the voice of conciousness and have pleasure in saying "I told you so"!

Is it just me or does the stopping of the new T3 lane in as indicated above create an even bigger bottle neck at the bottom of Onewa? Surely the new lane should go all the way to the motorway. The busses already share the whole of Onewa T3 lane very well. Why not the last few hundred metres then there would be no need for the T3 traffic to merge with the other trafic in the last part. I carry 3 (sometimes 4) passengers and the hardest part is merging at the bottom as most people don't want to let you in, probably because they have spent up to half an hour getting to the bottom and don't like people like me getting in front of them.

Its great to see another story in the media stirring the public up about the responsibility of the big banks. If I were an investor with the ASB I would feel confident that I had invested in a strong, stable organisation which had the ability to refund any losses to me. Would the same outcome have occured had the funds been invested with a small financial planning firm, boutique funds manager or god forbid a finance company? We are lucky to have organisations such as ASB to invest with.
